Harvest Festival
One of the many amazing things about the Ranelagh community is its giving nature, perhaps best exemplified during our annual Harvest Festival. The Harvest Festival is a celebration of the food, grown all over the world and here in Britain, and an opportunity to share food and help those who are less fortunate.
Every September Ranelagh collects various non-perishable food items for donation, from pasta to baked beans, for donation. Children across the school could be seen trucking cases, cartons and bags of food into their classrooms, unloading heaps and bringing in more and more to help those in need in our community. Ranelagh decided to once again work with the fantastic Renewal Programme, who work here in Newham to transform and inspire lives. The Renewal Programme is a registered charity that provides a fantastic range of services for people in our local area who are facing many challenges in their lives, and Ranelagh is thrilled to be a partner. The giving doesn't stop with the Harvest Festival this term either - look out for our amazing Community Action Projects which will be on display in the school playground on Tuesday 17th of October.
