As part of Ranelagh’s Every Child A Theatre Goer, Year 1 swished and swashed their way to Stratford Circus in December to watch We’re Going on a Bear Hunt. |

The Little Angel Theatre company brought the fabulous book alive.It had catchy tunes, a quartet of puppeteers who switched to being live performers and ,of course, the delightful puppets. The Year 1 children were mesmerised and were thoroughly entertained . ‘The puppets were amazing’ said Lilly May a Year 1 pupil. Their teachers Mrs Afshan and Mrs Malik were amazed at how the children reacted to such an opportunity. |
Mrs Afshan , Ranelagh’s Year 1 lead, said, “It was wonderful for the Year 1 children to see a much loved book on the stage. It was also great to have the opportunity to go to a real theatre."

She continued, "Theatre not only entertains and fires their imagination, it gives our children opportunities to develop their curiosity and to see creativity in action."
