Year 5 Mosque Visit

As part of their RE studies about Islam, Year 5 visited Anjuman-e-Islamia Mosque in Newham to explore the place of worship and find  how people of a Muslim faith use this building to practise their faith. The children and staff were fascinated to see the mosque's beautiful architecture with islamic patterns and calligraphy artwork.  Due to Covid 19, the children did not visit the mosque as planned in their RE Curriculum.

Alishba stated “ We watched the Imam pray and listened to a short talk about the key areas in the mosque, It was brilliant!”

Martin stated “ The mosque was beautifully designed and  it was very peaceful inside, I will never forget this trip”.

At Ranelagh, we believe that trips to Places of Worship are important in developing children's knowledge, tolerance and respect for others from different faiths, as we prepare our children to live and work in the multicultural world in which we live.
