AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS

Fitness, health and creativity are all integral parts of the Ranelagh Curriculum and these activities are reflected in the range of clubs we offer. Our programme encourages children to develop skills and to broaden their range of experiences and interests. Clubs are run by school staff and some external providers who have a passion for inspiring children to learn.

All clubs are free and run from 3pm-4pm. To find out more about the types of clubs running this term, please see the drop-down link at the bottom of this page.

For any additional information regarding clubs, please speak to Mrs. Sheikh.

Police Cadets Club

Every Tuesday, Year 5 and Year 6 are brought to a standstill with a loud " Attention!" These children are part of Junior Cadets. The Volunteer Junior Police Cadets or JVPC is a fun place to learn a bit more about the police, how to keep yourself safe and how to get involved in supporting your community. The unit that is attached to Ranelagh is one of the biggest units in Britain. Ask one of our volunteer police cadets for more information.

Police Cadets  Police, Camera, Action project

Ranelagh Junior police cadets joined forces with police officers in raising awareness about speeding in the borough .

Children used speed machines to track driving speeds on Manor Road in Stratford! Once drivers were stopped, Ranelagh children asked the drivers to consider the consequences. They asked  'What would you do if you lost your licence ? ‘ and ‘Do you know how much harm you could have caused on the roads today by going faster than the speed limit ?’

The police team were impressed by the way children questioned the public and raised awareness about driving safely.

Alexandru stated, ‘ I really enjoyed working with the police and would like to become a Police officer when I am older’.

Of course , the best thing was testing the lights and sirens of the police cars.

Please make sure you drive at the legal speed limit - you never know when a Ranelagh police cadet will be about !
