Once again parents, grandparents and carers were wowed with Ranelagh's poetry recital which wraps up the end of the Spring Term. Each Year group learns a famous poem off by heart with the intention that by the time they leave Ranelagh, each child has a large bank of memorable poems that they will be able to recite.
From the famous The Highway by Alfred Noyes to Lewis Carroll's the Jabberwocky, children perform a choral interpretation. This has been happening for the last 4 years and it is wonderful to see the older children mouth the familiar poems performed by Years 1, 2 and 3.
Nursery and Reception recited traditional nursery rhymes - with reception reciting Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in Ranelagh's Modern Language -Spanish.
One of the parents said that it demonstrates how much Ranelagh values the arts and that teachers work incredibly hard for the children to be as confident as they are.
